RTÉ programmes have won 30 prestigious awards at the 2020 New York Festivals International TV & Film and Radio Awards.
RTÉ was honoured with three gold trophies, seven silver, four bronze awards and 16 finalist certificates.
Documentary On One secured a gold radio award for their documentary The Case of Majella Moynihan in the National/International Affairs category, for its powerful telling of the life of an unnamed female Garda who was threatened with dismissal from An Garda Síochana in 1985 for giving birth to a baby outside of wedlock.
Two silvers were also awarded to the Documentary On One team for The Whistleblower and I Hope You Will Be Home Soon in the Human Rights and Profiles/Community Portraits categories respectively.
RTÉ lyric fm also took home a gold radio award for Mother's Blood, Sisters Songs in the Culture & The Arts category and also won silver for Edges of Light in the music category.

RTÉ Player's Docland documentary strand also earned a gold television award for Laura Brennan: This Is Me in the Health/Medical Information category.
"Across a variety of genres and platforms RTÉ Radio again stands proud when measured on the international broadcasting barometer that is the New York Festival," said Head of RTÉ Radio 1, Tom McGuire.
"In particular the Gold for Documentary On One: The Case of Majella Moynihan illustrates the importance of the social documentary in charting our history."
