Tune Of The Week: Rosebud by Mark Geary

Our RTÉ Culture Tune Of The Week is Mark Geary's Rosebud, taken from his acclaimed album The Fool - watch the video above.

Dubliner Mark Geary has had some career. Starting off as a young singer-songwriter in New York's East Village, he plied his trade at the famous Sin é - a music venue and bar founded by his brother, the actor and author Karl Geary. During his time in New York, Mark wrote and played with his contemporaries such as Glen Hansard, Sinead O'Connor, and sadly departed legends Mic Cristopher and Jeff Buckley.

Over the last 20 years, Mark has toured all over Europe, the US and Australia, sharing the stage with everyone from Bell X1 and Coldplay to Elvis Costello, while carving out a reputation as one of the finest songwriters of his generation. He's currently touring Ireland with his Strawhall House Band - they play DeBarra’s in Clonakilty, Co. Cork this Thursday (24th October) and Cleere’s Bar and Theatre in Kilkenny this Saturday (26th October) - find out more here.
