Watch: The Lost Brothers' Xmas song pays tribute to a legend

Irish Folk Award nominees The Lost Brothers have recorded a new Christmas mini-album in memory of their friend and former manager Frank Murray, the Irish music legend who managed The Pogues, The Frames , Thin Lizzy, Lost Brothers and more - watch the video for Keep Christmas In The Heart above.

Keep Christmas In The Heart was recorded with producer Stephen Shannon in Crumlin, in a studio around the corner from where Frank and his good friend Phil Lynott were born. We asked the Brothers (Oisin Leech and Mark McCausland) for a few words about this very personal project - read them below: 

Time stood still when we heard about the passing of our former friend and manager Frank Murray in Christmas 2016.

For a few golden years, Frank and the Losties travelled the world together sharing bunks, buses and laughter along the way. Even when we drove him to his wits end, he always brought nobility and humor to the moment. He was as strong as oak and a fountain of knowledge. We are eternally grateful for everything he taught us.

We know this time of year is hard for his closest pals and family, so we decided to do something that Frank was constantly asking us to do: "Record a Christmas song with a full band".

So, Frank, here it is...

The Lost Brothers and friends bring Keep Christmas In The Heart on tour nationwide this month, for a full band performance with guests including Steve Wickham, Howe Gelb, and Seamus Fogarty - see here for dates.
