Tonight (Aug 31st) at Electric Picnic, thousands of people will gather for a history lesson. From 2FM Live, The Story of Hip-Hop – Part 2 is a performance taking listeners through the many faces of hip-hop, from The Sugarhill Gang to Kendrick Lamar, Stormzy and Drake.

The show’s creative director, Adam Fogarty (a.k.a. Mathman), sat down with guest-host Baz Ashmawy on The Ryan Tubridy Show to tell him what audience members can expect.

The show is "an absolute monster", Adam says, with a 40-piece orchestra working in tandem with 4 singers who "live and breathe" hip-hop. If you’re not lucky enough to be there in person tonight, the whole set will be broadcast on 2FM this Sunday from about 5pm.
