This Christmas, RTÉ Radio One presents The Joe Jackson Tapes Revisited, the latest in a series of choice conversations from the archives of the journalist and broadcaster.
The series includes memorable interviews with the likes of former Minister For Finance Charlie McCreevy, Father Brian Darcy and, in a conversation to be broadcast a decade and a day after his passing, Irish music legend Joe Dolan.

Joe Jackson says this about The Joe Jackson Tapes Revisited: Joe Dolan:
"Every fan of a celebrity probably at some point wishes they could have a pint or a coffee with their hero. Fans of the late Joe Dolan can do that, by proxy with me, during this programme by pretending they were sitting in the snug of a Dublin pub in 2001 listening to us chat about the highs and lows of his life.
In the first part of the show I revisit a 2000 Under The Influence radio show interview I did with Joe, but the second part, done at the time for a newspaper, has never been broadcast. It's Dolan more relaxed and open that maybe you ever heard the man. There is no show like this Joe show!"
