Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have announced a Dublin date for next summer, at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Wednesday, June 8 2018, with a very special guest. 

The show marks the band's first Irish dates in a decade, and come in the wake of Skeleton Tree, the acclaimed album recorded in the aftermath of the tragic death of Cave's son Arthur in 2015. 

Poet, author and punk icon Patti Smith and her band will open for the Bad Seeds at Kilmainham. Smith last played at Kilmainham in 2015, celebrating the 40th anniversary of her seminal Horses album. In recent years, she won the National Book Award in the US for her memoir Just Kids.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, plus special guest Patti Smith & Her Band, play Royal Hospital, Kilmainham on Wednesday, 6 June 2018 - tickets go on sale on Monday 23rd October at 9am.
