Something For The Weekend: Liam Ó Maonlaí's Cultural Picks

Liam Ó Maonlaí is one of Ireland’s best-loved singers and musicians, and a performer who always follows his instincts.

Renowned for his performances with Hothouse Flowers, at this year's inaugural Drimoleague Singing Festival, Liam will perform in a one off special solo concert, supported by Camilla Griehsel and Maurice Seezer.

A celebration of the human voice in the heart of West Cork, The Drimoleague Singing Festival programme also features Irish Soprano Celine Byrne, a night of music and song from the legendary Peadar O’Riada, Sean Ó Sé and Cór Cúil Aodha and a special lunchtime concert with song collector, musician and singer Jimmy Crowley. The Drimoleague Singing Trail will include Lisa O’Neill, Nell Ní Chróinín, a one-off performance by John Spillane and de Confidence and Afro Celt Sound System's Griogair Labhruidh - details here.
