Win tickets to see Chris Rock at the 3Arena Dublin

The brilliant Chris Rock is playing his biggest ever Irish show next month - and we've got two tickets to give away.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest stand-up comics of his generation, Rock is bringing his new show Total Blackout to Dublin's 3Arena on Saturday 30th September - what's more, he's banned mobile phones from the room for the evening, promising a return to 'old school entertainment, where the great memories of the night will remain in people’s minds and not on a cell phone.' We're totally down with that.

Rock is a Grammy and Emmy award-winning actor, writer and filmmaker - when he isn't voicing Marty the Zebra in the Madagascar movies (this gig is definitely not for children, we stress), he's popping up in his old Saturday Night Live buddy Adam Sandler's flicks (they've done a half-dozen together) or creating his own masterworks - he wrote, directed and starred in 2015's rather splendid Top Five. He also created - and narrated - his own semi-autobiographical sitcom, the brilliant Everybody Hates Chris and pulled off one of the toughest gigs in the game, winning kudos as the host of the 2016 Oscars.

Chris Rock's real home ground is the live arena, however; previous stand-up specials like Bring The Pain, Never Scared and Bigger and Blacker are all essential comedy classics, and Total Blackout marks his first appearance on the Irish stage since a memorable Olympia show in 2008.

We're giving away a pair of tickets to see Chris Rock live at the 3Arena, Dublin, on September 30th. To be in with a chance, simply follow RTÉ Culture on Twitter or Facebook and tell us this:

In which year did Chris Rock host the Oscars?

Send us your answer along with the hashtag #RTEchrisrock before 6pm on Monday evening (September 11th) to be in with a chance to win. Get cracking - and the very best of luck!
