A new festival inspired by the works of filmmaker David Lynch is taking place in Co. Wicklow next month.

Twin Freaks is a one-day event described by the organisers as 'a creepy ass celebration of Music, Art, Film and Performance', featuring a choice line-up of emerging Irish musical talent, including Katie Kim, Paddy Kelleher, Cobra Truth, Brian Conniffe, Veda Farrow and more.

Interest in Lynch's unique body of work has enjoyed a major revival in recent months, inspired by the triumphant return of his classic TV series Twin Peaks and an acclaimed new documentary, David Lynch: The Art Life, currently screening in Irish cinemas.

The Twin Freaks bash will be held in the suitably atmospheric environs of Ballyhook Hill, Grangecon, Co. Wicklow, on Saturday, August 12th - as well as the musical bill, audiences can enjoy artworks, performances and film screenings. What's more, dressing up as your favourite Lynch character is actively encouraged.

Attention, David Lynch fans - the Dougie look is so hot this season

To quote Agent Dale Cooper: "Harry, I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange"

Tickets are available for the Twin Freaks Festival here.
