The RTÉ Concert Orchestra are paying a very special tribute to one of the greatest movie composers of all time... And we have tickets to give away.
Special guest John Landis joins the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in a tribute to legendary film composer Elmer Bernstein conducted by his son Peter Bernstein on Wednesday 14 June at the National Concert Hall.
Legendary film composer Elmer Bernstein receives the ultimate musical tribute on the 95th anniversary of his birth. The concert will feature a number of scores recorded in Dublin, including music from Jim Sheridan's My Left Foot. Peter Bernstein will be joined on stage by the legendary film director John Landis, who worked with Elmer on several films including Animal House, An American Werewolf In London and Trading Places.
The programme on the night will include memorable music from The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, Walk on the Wild Side, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Man with the Golden Arm, The Sweet Smell of Success, My Left Foot and more.
