Painter Amanda Doran's new one-woman show, The Devine Feminine, opens tonight in the artist's native town of Gorey, in honour of International Women's Day.

Doran’s work is based on sub cultures, particularly looking at the ‘outcasts’ or the social rejects of everyday society. She likes to display the idols, traditions and lifestyles of society's more colourful social groups. Her particular focus is on painting, but her work often includes smaller scale drawings, collages or embroideries.
