Five songs of the moment to make your week (and heart) beat a little bit faster.
1 . Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling – A Lovely Night (from the La La Land Soundtrack)
Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone singing? Yes, it gets real in Damien Chazelle’s bittersweet musical comedy. A jazz pianist and an actress try their luck in Los Angeles and fall in love: cue a dreamers’ song - and a lively way to begin your dreamy day!
2. Sampha – (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano
This promising young British songwriter sings about his mother and her piano (bless him) in a soft and plaintive voice, with a sweet soul vibe and gospel-inspired chorus. His new album is out on February 3rd - watch this space...
3. Hawk – Take It Away
The noir alt. rock four-piece with a British/Irish mix return with a new EP entitled She Knows, and atmospherics to burn. Vocalist Julie Hawk's soaring voice takes you to faraway places.

4. Bonobo – No Reason
His latest album Migration continues to surprise and delight us; here, Bonobo collaborates with Nick Murphy (AKA Chet Faker) resulting in a really interesting combination of electronica with real soul and proper lyrics. And we do love the video.
5. Elaine Mai – Enniscrone
With a forthcoming EP The Colour of The Night, due this Spring, here Elaine Mai takes you to another dimension, albeit a familiar one, with relaxing sounds full of good energy. The song's named for the County Sligo town, a seaside one, as you might guess from the splendid video shot by Paul Mahon. For Elaine, the song represents ‘the feeling of being young and not having a care in the world'. A pretty good one to end the week.
