We do love a laugh. And the annual Vodafone Comedy Carnival in Galway is always good for a few giggles, punctuated by the odd guffaw and occasional laughter-induced tear. And we're giving away tickets!

This year's Galwegian giggle-fest kicks off on Tuesday 25th October, with a sterling line-up that includes ringmaster general Tommy Tiernan, plus Next Big Thing Al Porter, Mancunian megastar Jason Manford and the planet’s best one-liner man, Milton Jones - and that's only for starters.

For comedy fans who like some musical accompaniment with their humour, there's the incomparable David O’Doherty, The Dan Band from The Hangover and Old School movies, The Rubberbandits Halloween hullabaloo and hip-hop improv from Abandoman. Elsewhere, you'll find Stephen Frost’s Improv All Stars, sketch group Foil Arms and Hog, and the superb Pajama Men, along with a stellar of killer stand-up talent, amongst them (deep breath) PJ Gallagher, Jason Byrne, Sam Simmons, Paul Currie, Sofie Hagen, Joe Lycett, Andrew Maxwell, Joe DeRosa, Tom Stade, Glenn Wool, David McSavage, and Shazia Mirza.
