Competition: See Aliens live with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra

To celebrate the launch of the new RTE Orchestras website, we're offering you (yes, you) the opportunity to enjoy a scary screen classic like you've never experienced it before. Aliens Live is coming to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on September 23 & 24.

In an Irish first, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre are screening James Cameron’s 1986 cult classic Aliens on a vast HD screen while the gripping score, composed by late, great composer James Horner, is performed live in-sync by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. It's gonna be loud. It's gonna be terrifying. It's gonna be great.

Just in case you'd forgotten the plot: This time it’s war!

Fifty-seven years after Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) survives a terrifying ordeal, her escape vessel is found drifting across the galaxy while she is in hyper sleep. Back on earth, her story about an alien encounter on the planet, LV-426 is met with skepticism. When The Company orders the colonists who have settled on LV-426 to investigate, however, all communication with them is lost. The Company enlists Ripley to aid a team of high-tech experienced space marines on a rescue mission to LV-426 to find out if there are aliens or survivors. As the mission unfolds, Ripley is forced to come to grips with her worst nightmare and discovers that the worst is yet to come.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Cameron's sequel to Ridley Scott's Alien was nominated for 7 Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nod for Weaver (robbed!) and Best Original Music for Horner. The film marked the first collaboration between Cameron and Horner, a partnership that would eventually produce music for record-breaking blockbusters Titanic and Avatar.

We're giving away 5 X pairs of tickets to see Aliens Live. To be in with a chance, simply follow us on Twitter via @RTE_Culture and tell us this: who plays Ripley? Send us your answer along with the hashtag #RTEAliens before 6pm on Monday evening. Get cracking and the very best of luck!
