  • Martin Sharkey

    University of Galway

    Dr Martin Sharkey is a Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher at the School of Natural Sciences at NUI Galway. He is currently working on the EPA-funded SAFER project.

    Roughly two-thirds of textile waste generated in Ireland is disposed of, with the remaining third either being reused (the majority exported to the third world for resale) or down-cycled (remade into single-use and unrecyclable items).
