    Schmidt to avoid sanction for referee comments

    Australia head coach Joe Schmidt appears unlikely to face disciplinary action for his comments about the match officials in Saturday's defeat to the British and Irish Lions, but World Rugby chief executive Alan Gilpin has said he is "disappointed" with the Wallabies boss.

    Lions won't be bowled over by history at the MCG

    The MCG will look a lot different this week, as the Wallabies and British and Irish Lions look to threaten the biggest ever crowd for a rugby game at Australia's most famous sporting venue, that being the 90,119 that watched Australia host New Zealand in 1997.
