‘When thinking about the theme of the project, I wanted to reflect the different emotions we all have gone through in the simplest way possible. I wanted to reflect the ups and downs of the last few months in lockdown and the realisation that I feel a lot of people have come to – that no matter what's going on in the world or between themselves, once they have each other, they can get through it.’

Stephen hand paints the lettering and tries to keep his hands loose and as natural as possible to help portray the humanity in the piece.

Stephen Heffernan is a Dublin-based designer, art director and illustrator who works under the name Hephee. He uses both serious and lighter themes to connect with his audience and enjoys creating pieces that are accessible to everyone.
