Osgur Breathnach who alleges that he was forced to confess to the 1976 Sallins mail train robbery is seeking damages in his case against the state and eight named Gardaí. He was initially sentenced to twelve years but released after 18 months when the Court Of Criminal Appeal quashed his conviction.
