On October 14th of 2004, a documentary film crew travelled with Irish charity worker Debbie Deegan to the southern Russian town of Beslan. Forty-three days earlier, this town in North Ossetia witnessed one of the world's most shocking events when Chechen extremists took over Middle School Number 1 holding over 1,300 people hostage.
Observing Debbie as she vists the remains of the school - now a shrine - and the new graveyard the locals now call the school cemetery, this documentary meets teachers, parents and children who are slowly coming to terms with the massacre which ripped a small tight community to pieces.
