During World War 2, a U.S. 8th Air Force B-17 bomber, en-route from the USA, mysteriously crashed into remote woodland on the hills overlooking Belfast in Northern Ireland. Tragically, all 10 crewmembers lost their lives. Almost 50 years later, the wreckage had been removed and the crash site overgrown and forgotten - though not by local man, Alfie Montgomery, who made an incredible find there which transpired to be a gold wedding ring inscribed 'Larry & Ruth' with a US style date. Alfie then dedicated the following 3 years to a formidable (pre-internet) quest to validate his find and to trace the family of the dead crewman and return the ring. A truly moving and emotional documentary.
