This competition is open to Republic of Ireland residents only.

Entrants must be aged 18 years or older at date of entry and a resident of the Republic of Ireland in order to qualify as the prize winner.

Promoter reserves the right to request proof of age, verifiable by birth certificate or passport only, and proof of residency, verifiable by recent utility bill only (issued within 6 months of win).

The prize winner, and one other guest must be 18 years or older.

The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative to non-cash prize elements.

In order to claim the prize, the winner will be required to sign any documentation as may be requested by the Promoter relating to acceptance of the competition prize, terms and conditions and including, but not limited to, waiver of liability release in favour of the Promoter and such other persons as may be determined by the Promoter. The individual(s) travelling as a guest of the winner will also be required to sign such documentation if requested by the Promoter in order to be permitted to travel.

The prize winner and his/her guest(s) will be required to adhere to any specific health and safety rules and recommendations in place at local establishment, national and European levels, including Covid-19 rules and recommendations at the hotel establishment and at Howth Castle Cookery School, in order to avail of the prize. Where the prize winner and/or guest(s) do not comply with local establishment and/or national health and safety rules and recommendations, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited. The Promoter(s) accepts no responsibility for any health and safety issues arising as a result of availing of the prize.

The Staycation must be taken on Friday 3rd December and Saturday 4th December inclusive, no alternative dates or extensions permitted. If travel is not completed on the dates as specified, travel and all prize elements will be deemed to have been forfeited. No changes will be permitted once hotels/cookery lesson are booked and issued. All elements are subject to advanced booking and availability. Accommodation and cookery school will be booked by the Promoter. SPAR Ireland reserves the right to vary the prize or Staycation dates in the event of circumstances beyond its control.

Prize is for 1 winner plus 5 guest(s), one of whom must be over 18 years of age (i.e. 2 adults plus up to 4 children under 18 years of age), for a 2-night stay at a 4-star hotel in Dublin (based on family room sharing (full room breakdown to be confirmed upon confirmation of family members travelling), hotel and room as specified by the Promoter, B&B basis),a private cooking lesson with Donal Skehan in Howth Castle Cookery School, Co Dublin on Friday 3rd December at 1pm (SPAR Ireland reserves the right to vary the detail of the cookery lesson in the event of circumstances beyond its control), no cash or alternative is available, failure to attend for any reason whatsoever will result in this prize element deemed to be forfeited), €1,000 cash prize (made payable to the winner by cheque or pre-loaded credit card) and €2,000 SPAR voucher (provided in denominations as specified by the Promoter or as store credit in the winner’s local store, redeemable in a specific SPAR store(s) nominated by the prize winner, standard SPAR Gift Card voucher usage policy, terms and conditions apply, voucher /credit must be redeemed in full within 5 years of voucher / credit issue date after which time any remaining credit will be deemed to have been forfeited).

Travel insurance and transfers to/from Dublin are not included.

The prize cannot be split, is valid for one travel period only, any prize elements not availed of within the agreed dates will be deemed to have been forfeited.

Any costs incurred additional to the prize package elements listed (e.g. telephone charges, Covid-19 testing, meals, room service, transfers, spa treatments etc.) will be at the winner’s own expense.

Any requested or permitted upgrades or changes to the stated holiday prize will be at the winner’s own expense.

Failure to attend for any reason whatsoever on the travel dates agreed and booked does not entitle the winner to an alternative Staycation and the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited.

Employees of RTÉ, Phonovation, SPAR Ireland and their associated promotional partners, companies or suppliers and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter/win.

RTÉ's decision in relation to selection of the competition winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
