Traffic

DUBLIN TRAFFIC 

The right lane of the southbound bore of Dublin Tunnel is closed until further notice. Care is advised on approach. Otherwise, the M50 is moving well in both directions.

No unusual delays to report around the city centre.

NATIONAL TRAFFIC

DONEGAL: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N15 just south of Ballybofey until approx. Fri 29th March.

KERRY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N86 approx 3km outside Camp on the Dingle side until approx. Fri 12th April.

LAOIS: The southbound lane of the N80 will be closed in Mountmellick between Parnell St and Irishtown until Fri 5th April. Diversions will be in place.

TRAVEL

IRISH RAIL: Drumcondra Station will be closed for engineering works tomorrow (23rd) and Sunday (24th). Services on the Maynooth, Longford and Sligo lines will not serve Drumcondra for the weekend.

An altered timetable will also be in place tomorrow (23rd) for most services on lines to/from Heuston Station to facilitate works between Thurles and Lisduff.

CITY TRAFFIC

GALWAY: 

There are no traffic issues around Galway City.

LIMERICK: 

No major delays to report for Limerick City traffic.

CORK:

Traffic is generally moving well throughout the Cork City. 

WATERFORD:

No issues for traffic at this stage in Waterford city centre. 

Events

EVENTS 

GALWAY: This evening (22nd), Connacht Rugby take on Benetton Rugby in the Sportsground. Throw-in was at 7:35pm. Expect busy traffic after the match on routes around the stadium, where traffic restrictions will be in place, particularly the College Rd.

DUBLIN: Drake plays the 3Arena tonight (22nd). Doors opened at 6:30pm. If using public transport options, take the Luas Red Line to The Point stop. The following Dublin Bus services stop near the venue: 151 and 142. If travelling by car, expect busier traffic northbound on Sean Moore Rd, along the North Quays and inbound on St. John's Rd West, Swords Rd and on the Navan Rd before the event.

DUBLIN: Ireland Skills Live continues at the RDS tomorrow (23rd). There will be a morning session from 10am to midday, and an afternoon session from 1pm to 3pm. Delays can be expected through Ballsbridge and Sandymount as a result, and on the Merrion Rd, Simmonscourt Rd, Shelbourne Rd, Pembroke Rd and Anglesea Rd. The RDS is served by bus routes number 4, 5, 7, 7a and 8, which stop outside the RDS on Merrion Road. 

DUBLIN: A section of Whitestown Way will close tomorrow (23rd) between its junction with Firhouse Rd West and the car park entrance at Tallaght Stadium to facilitate a cycle race, 9am to 4pm. Alternative routes via Firhouse Rd West, Old Bawn Rd and the N81 Tallaght Bypass will be signposted. Local access will be maintaine

ROADWORKS

ULSTER

CAVAN: A stop/go system is in place for works on the N55 approx. halfway between Ballinagh and Kilcogy, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, until Thurs 28th March.

DONEGAL: Rolling works will take place in Letterkenny on the N14 between the Dry Arch R/A and the Polestar R/A, and between there and the Middle Rd jct on the N56 Ramelton Rd from until August.

DONEGAL: Rolling works are in place on the N56 through Ardara until approx. the end of March.

DONEGAL: Wesleyan St in Rathmullan, part of the Ramelton Rd (R247), will be closed for works between the Main St and Pound St jcts until this evening (22nd). Diversions will be in place via Pound St, Pier Rd and Main St.

MONAGHAN: A reduced speed limit of 30kmph is in place on the N2 just north of the Coolshannagh R/A, which is north of Monaghan town centre, until approx. July 2020.

MONAGHAN: Temporary traffic lights are in place on the N2 south of Emyvale, near Corracrin National School, along with a reduced speed limit of 50kmph, until approx. October.

LEINSTER

KILDARE: The Naas/Ballymore Eustace Rd (R411) will be closed for works between the Ballymore Eustace Rd R/A in Naas and Watch House Cross at Punchestown until Mon 8th April. Diversions will be in place via Beggar’s End Cross and the Blessington Rd (R410).

KILDARE: A new road layout is in place at the M7 works before J10 Naas South on the northbound side. Traffic wishing to exit at J10 will need to stay in the left lane.

KILDARE: As part of the ongoing works on the M7 route between J8 Johnstown and J11 M9, varying lane restrictions are in place on both carriageways between J8 and J10 Naas South. Reduced speed limits are also in place until approx. the end of April.

KILKENNY: Lane closures and a stop/go system will be in place for works on the N25 at Glenmore, on the Waterford City side of New Ross until Fri 21st June.

KILKENNY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on Dean St, Kilkenny on weekdays until Fri 29th March.

LAOIS: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N80 in Portlaoise at the Market Sq R/A until 6pm on Fri 5th April.

LONGFORD: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N55 at Fowlards Bridge, outside Ballymahon on the Carrickboy side, until further notice.

LOUTH: Church St and Clanbrassil St in Dundalk (R132) have been made one-way southbound until the end of November. Northbound traffic will be diverted via The Long Walk and The Laurels.

OFFALY: High St and Bridge St in Tullamore have been made one-way for works until the end of June. Traffic towards Colmcille St is being diverted via Cormac St and Main St.

WEXFORD: A stop/go system will in place on the N11 north of Wexford Town between Ferrycarrig Bridge and Kyle Cross until Fri 29th March between 8am and 6pm daily. Temporary traffic lights will be in place during off-peak hours.

WEXFORD: A reduced speed limit of 50kmph and lane restrictions are in place for works on the N11 at the Scarawalsh R/A north of Enniscorthy until further notice.

WEXFORD: A temporary road layout is in place for works on the M11 between J23 Courtown and the Clogh R/A until Sun 31st March. The northbound carriageway is closed for works: traffic in both directions is using the southbound side, where a contra-flow system has been set up.

MUNSTER

CLARE: A section of the N67 will be closed for works at Bealaha, between Kilkee and Doonbeg until Mon 8th April. Diversions will be in place via Kilrush and Cooraclare.

CORK: Works are taking place on the N71 just outside Rosscarbery on the Skibbereen side until approx. the end of April. Delays can be expected.

CORK: Works will be in place on the N28 at the Raffeen turn-off near Ringaskiddy until approx. June.

CORK: The Youghal/Ballymacoda Rd (R633) will be closed for works at the local Ballycotton turn-off outside Ballymacoda from 9am to 6pm daily until Fri 3rd May.

CORK: A stop/go system will be in place on the N71 just north of Clonakilty between Faxbridge and Lisselane from 7am to 7pm daily, until approx Wed 1st April. After this date, overnight work will take place from approx 7:30pm to 7am nightly until mid-May.

KERRY: A one-way system is in place in Killorglin town centre until approx. the end of April to facilitate works on the N70 – traffic from the Tralee side will travel via Main St, while traffic from the Cahersiveen side will be diverted via Mill Rd and New Line Rd.

KERRY: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph is in place on the N70 just outside Milltown on the Killorglin side for works until Fri 5th April.

TIPPERARY: A stop/go system will be in place on the N24 west of Bansha until Fri 29th March from 8am until 6pm on weekdays.

WATERFORD: The Ring Rd (R674) will be closed for works between its jct with the N25 and the local Old Parish Rd (An Sean Phobal) until 6pm on Fri 19th April. Diversions will be in place.

CONNACHT

GALWAY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N67 just outside Kinvara between the Kinvara/Ardrahan Rd (R347) and Gort Rd jcts until Tuesday 2nd April. 

GALWAY: A stop/go system is in place on the N83 for works about halfway between Tuam and Dunmore until approx. the end of November.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights and a stop/go system will be in place for works on the N63 in Ballygar, at the Killeroran Rd jct until approx. mid-June.

MAYO: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N17 at Charlestown today (22nd). Expect delays.

MAYO: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for works on the N58 at Kilmore, approx. 3km from Foxford on the Castlebar side, today (22nd). 

MAYO: Works will take place on the N5 on the Castlebar side of Westport today (22nd).

MAYO: Temporary traffic lights are in place for works on the N59 at Kilmeena, approx. 4km from Westport on the Newport side, until approx. the end of 2019.

MAYO: Works are in place on the N60 just outside Balla on the Castlebar side until approx. December.

SLIGO: A stop/go system will be in place on the N17 at the Tobar Bhríde R/A, south of Collooney, until approx. Fri 29th March. 

SLIGO: A stop/go system is in place for works on the N17 north of Tobercurry, between the town and the local Muckelty turn-off, until mid-April.
