NATIONAL TRAFFIC

KILKENNY: There are reports of a breakdown on the M9 southbound between J8 Kilkenny approaching the slip road to the N10. Take caution on approach. 

MEATH: The Summerhill/Dunboyne Rd (R156) will remain closed until further notice, north of Dunboyne before the turn-off for Batterstown, to facilitate the removal of an overturned truck.

KERRY: The Loo Bridge/Kenmare Rd (R569) remains closed until further notice just off the N22 due to storm damage. Use alternative routes to/from Kenmare and Kilgarvan.

WATERFORD: From 7pm, the N72 will close outside Dungarvan between the N25 jct and The Pike (R672) for emergency works until 8pm tomorrow (18th).

GALWAY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the inbound carriageway of Bothar na dTreabh from Briarhill to the Ballybane Rd jct until Tues 25th Feb, from 10am until 8pm on each day.

DUBLIN TRAFFIC 

There are no unusual delays in the city centre.

The M50 is moving better in both directions. 

CITY TRAFFIC

CORK:  

The Kinsale Rd (R600) has reopened between the Airport R/A and Fivemilebridge following a fatal incident earlier today (17th).

No major issues for Cork City traffic.

GALWAY: 

Traffic is moving well in Galway City. 

LIMERICK:   

There are no major issues for traffic in Limerick City.

WATERFORD: 

No major issues for Waterford City traffic at this stage of the evening.

ROADWORKS 

ULSTER

DONEGAL: A reduced speed limit of 50kmph remains in place for works on the N56 north of Glenties between Letterilly and Kilkenny until approx. 2021. 

DONEGAL: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N56 on the Mountcharles side of Inver, between Inver Bridge and the Glenties turn-off (R262) until approx March.

DONEGAL: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N56 between Inver Bridge and the Frosses Rd (R262) jct from today (17th) to Fri 28th Feb. The works will be in place on midweek days only.

DONEGAL: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N15 on the Killygordon side of Stranorlar between 8am and 5:30pm each weekday until approx. late March.

MONAGHAN: A temporary road layout is in place on the N2 at the bridge just north of the Coolshannagh R/A in Monaghan Town, until approx. July. There is a reduced speed limit of 30kmph over the bridge.

LEINSTER

DUBLIN: Today (17th) and tomorrow (18th), Samuel Beckett bridge will close for overnight maintenance work from 9pm each night to 6am the following morning.

DUBLIN: Brackenstown Rd in Swords will be closed for works from 9am to 6pm from today (17th) until Friday (21st).

DUBLIN: Works are taking place in Dublin Port until further notice – traffic heading into the port has no right turn at the roundabout from Promenade Rd down to Tolka Quay Rd and must continue straight on to the next junction. Tolka Quay Rd itself is partially closed at the Bond Drive jct. Diversions are in place.

DUBLIN: Rathbeale Rd (R125) in Swords, will be closed for works between its junction with Ardcian Park and the Oldtown/Mooretown jct until Fri 20th March.

LONGFORD: A stop/go system will be in pace for works on Main St in Granard, part of the N55 route, until Fri 6th March.

WEXFORD: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N30 at Clonroche Village, between Enniscorthy and New Ross, from 8am to 6pm each day until Fri 28th Feb.

WEXFORD: From 8am to 6pm on today (17th) and tomorrow (18th), New Line Rd (R733) in Wexford Town will be closed to traffic heading into the town from the roundabout by Wexford Business Park to the Whitemill R/A to facilitate works. Diversions will be in place. Outbound traffic will not be affected.

WICKLOW: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph will be in place for works on the N11 in both directions between J7 Bray South and J8 Kilmacanogue today (17th) until approx. February 2021.

WICKLOW: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph will be in place for works on the N81 just south of Hollywood until Fri 31st July.

MUNSTER

CORK: A rolling stop/go system will be in place on the N22 through Ballymakeery and Ballyvourney from 9am to 6pm daily until Sat 22nd Feb.

CORK: A stop/go system will be in place or works on the N22 south of Macroom near Coolower until Fri 28th Feb from 8am until 6pm daily.

CORK: A stop/go system is in place for works on the N71 just outside Ballydehob on the Bantry side until Fri 3rd April.

CORK: The Dunmanway Rd (R586), outside Bandon, will be closed for works near the entrance to primary school until 7pm on Fri 28th Feb.

CORK: Kilbrogan Hill in Bandon, part of the main Bandon/Macroom Rd (R589), will be closed for works between its jcts with North Main St and Kilbrogan Hill Cross until 7pm on Sat 2nd May. 

CORK: Today (17th) and tomorrow (18th), works and a stop/go system will be in place on the N28 at Shanbally, 9am to 4:30pm.

KERRY: The Tralee/Ballyduff Rd (R556) is closed for works approx. half way between the two towns until further notice.

LIMERICK: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N21 at Adare until Mon 13th April. Diversions will be in place - northbound traffic will be diverted via Rathkeale and southbound via the N20. Use diversion routes to avoid delays. Local access will be maintained.

LIMERICK: A stop/go system will be in place on the N69 at Kilcornan until Fri 31st July between 7am and 7pm each day. Expect delays.

TIPPERARY: Works will be in place on the N24 in Clonmel, between the Moangarriff and Cahir Rd roundabouts, until approx. the end of March. Overnight works will be in place on the N24 at Moangarriff R/A from 7pm until 7am the following morning until further notice.

WATERFORD: The N72 will be closed for works between the Dungarvan/Ballymacarby Rd (R672) and the N25 jct until from 7am to 7pm today (17th). Diversions will be in place.

CONNACHT

GALWAY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the inbound carriageway of Bothar na dTreabh from Briarhill to the Ballybane Rd jct until Tues 25th Feb, from 10am until 8pm on each day.

LEITRIM: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph remains in place on the N16 on a stretch between Manorhamilton and Glencar until December.

MAYO: Temporary traffic lights are in place for works on the N59 at Kilmeena, approx. 4km from Westport on the Newport side, until further notice.

MAYO: A stop/go system will be in place on the N58 between Ballylahan and Foxford until further notice.

MAYO: Works will be in place on the N5 and N58 at Ballyvary from Mon 17th until approx. Friday (21st). 

SLIGO: Works are taking place on the N15 just outside Cliffony on the Bundoran side until further notice.

SLIGO: The N15 and N4 in Sligo Town will be down to one lane southbound near Markievicz Rd during certain times each day to facilitate works until further notice.

SLIGO: Works are continuing in Sligo Town at the junction of the N4, N15 and N16 until further notice. As a result of the works, there has been a change to the road layout for northbound turning left onto the Rosses Point Rd (R219).

SLIGO: Works will be in place on the N4 between Collooney and Castlebaldwin until approx. June 2021. A reduced speed limit of 60kmph is currently in place on three stretches: at the Tobar Bhríde R/A outside Collooney, between Riverstown turn-off and Castlebaldwin, and just south of Castlebaldwin Village. There are also two stop/go systems on the route; they're just south of the Tobar Bhríde R/A and on the Riverstown side of Castlebaldwin.
