ROAD CONDITIONS 

A Status Yellow Wind Warning has been issued for Donegal today valid until 8pm (22nd). Watch out for wind-blown debris and be mindful of others who may be blown off-course, especially pedestrians, cyclists and high-sided vehicles.

TIPPERARY/GALWAY: There is flooding on the N65 between Borrisokane and Portumna at Carrigahorig. Only drive through surface water if you know it's not too deep for your vehicle.

MAYO: There is a road closure on the Ballinrobe/Cross Rd (R334) at the Neal jct due to heavy flooding. Diversions are in place.  

NATIONAL TRAFFIC

WICKLOW: There is debris on the M11/N11 southbound at J5 Bray North and J6 Bray/Fassaroe. Take caution on approach. 

LONGFORD: In Ballymahon, a stop/go system will be in place on Main St (part of the N55 route) for works today (22nd).

KERRY: The Loo Bridge/Kenmare Rd (R569) remains closed until further notice just off the N22 due to storm damage. Use alternative routes to/from Kenmare and Kilgarvan.

DUBLIN TRAFFIC

There is a breakdown in the northbound bore of the Port Tunnel blocking the left lane. 

Inbound traffic is heavy on St Johns Rd West from the SCR jct towards Heuston Station. 

It's getting busy outbound from Grand Canal heading towards Ranelagh. 

Swords Rd is busy in both directions from Drumcondra heading towards Collins Ave. 

Traffic is heavy on the Snugborough Rd pass the Blanchardstown SC heading towards N3.

The M50 is moving well in both directions. 

CITY TRAFFIC

GALWAY: 

No unusual delays in Galway City. 

CORK:  

Cork City traffic is light at this stage of the day. 

WATERFORD: 

Traffic is moving well in Waterford City.

LIMERICK:

No major delays to report in Limerick City.

GALWAY: The Annual Galway Novena is currently underway. To facilitate this, the Gaol Rd around Galway Cathedral will be closed by Millennium Park between Nun’s Island and University Rd until 10pm on Tuesday (25th). 

DUBLIN: The Operation Transformation Fun Run/Walk 5K takes place in the Phoenix Park today (22nd). To facilitate the event, Chesterfield Ave is closed between Phoenix R/A and Mountjoy R/A  until 1:30pm this afternoon. Ordnance Survey Rd, Glen/Upr Glen Rd and Furry Glen are all closed until 1:30pm. Knockmaroon Gate will be closed from until 1:30pm. Castleknock Gate will be closed until 1:30pm. There will be no left turn on entry of Chapelizod Gate except for access to Cara Cheshire Home until 1:30pm. There will be no right turn on entry of Ashtown Gate except for access to Farmleigh House until 1:30pm.

DUBLIN: Today (22nd) and tomorrow (23rd), the Divine Mercy Apostolate Conference takes place at the RDS. The event will take place from 9am to 9pm today and from 9am to 5:30pm tomorrow (23rd). Patrons travelling by car should expect extra traffic in the Ballsbridge area before and after the event. If taking public transport to the event, the following Dublin Bus routes stop outside the RDS on Merrion Rd: 4, 7, 7a, 18 and 27x. Other routes, including the 46a, 145 and 39a stop on Donnybrook Rd, which is a short walk from the venue. The RDS is also within walking distance of both Sandymount and Lansdowne Rd DART stations.

DUBLIN: A double header takes place in Croke Park today (22nd). Dublin take on Wexford at 5pm in the Hurling League. Then at 7pm, Dublin take on Donegal in the Football League.Expect extra traffic on northside routes, particularly around Drumcondra. DART and Luas stops are a short walk from the stadium. A number of Dublin Bus services stop nearby, including the 1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 40, 41, 120 and 123.

DUBLIN: Bellator MMA comes to the 3Arena today (22nd). Doors open at 3:45pm. The 3Arena is well serviced by public transport. Take the Luas Red Line to The Point stop, or one of several Dublin Bus routes that stop nearby, including the 151, 142 and 53. If travelling by car, expect busier traffic beforehand along the North Quays and northbound on Beach Rd and Sean Moore Rd.

LAOIS: Laois take on Carlow in O’Moore Park in Division 1, Group B, Round 4 of the Hurling League today (22nd). Throw in is at 7pm.Extra traffic can be expected on the N77 Abbeyleix Rd and through Portlaoise both before and after the match.

DONEGAL: A reduced speed limit of 50kmph remains in place for works on the N56 north of Glenties between Letterilly and Kilkenny until approx. 2021. 

DONEGAL: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N56 between Inver Bridge and the Frosses Rd (R262) jct until Fri 28th Feb.

DONEGAL: Temporary traffic lights will be in place for works on the N15 on the Killygordon side of Stranorlar between 8am and 5:30pm each weekday until approx. late March.

MONAGHAN: A temporary road layout is in place on the N2 at the bridge just north of the Coolshannagh R/A in Monaghan Town, until approx. July. There is a reduced speed limit of 30kmph over the bridge.

LEINSTER

DUBLIN: Works are taking place in Dublin Port until further notice – traffic heading into the port has no right turn at the roundabout from Promenade Rd down to Tolka Quay Rd and must continue straight on to the next junction. Tolka Quay Rd itself is partially closed at the Bond Drive jct. Diversions are in place.

DUBLIN: Rathbeale Rd (R125) in Swords, will be closed for works between its junction with Ardcian Park and the Oldtown/Mooretown jct until Fri 20th March.

LONGFORD: A stop/go system will be in pace for works on Main St in Granard, part of the N55 route, until Fri 6th March.

LONGFORD: In Ballymahon, a stop/go system will be in place on Main St (part of the N55 route) for works today (22nd).

WEXFORD: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N30 at Clonroche Village, between Enniscorthy and New Ross, from 8am to 6pm each day until Fri 28th Feb.

WICKLOW: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph will be in place for works on the N11 in both directions between J7 Bray South and J8 Kilmacanogue until approx. February 2021.

CORK: The Dunmanway Rd (R586), outside Bandon, will be closed for works near the entrance to primary school until 7pm on Fri 28th Feb.

CORK: Kilbrogan Hill in Bandon, part of the main Bandon/Macroom Rd (R589), will be closed for works between its jcts with North Main St and Kilbrogan Hill Cross until 7pm on Sat 2nd May. 

CLARE: Works are in place on the Kilmurry/Sixmilebridge Rd (R462) at the Mount Cashel turn-off until approx. Mon 3rd Aug.

KERRY: The Tralee/Ballyduff Rd (R556) is closed for works approx. half way between the two towns until further notice.

LIMERICK: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the N21 at Adare until Mon 13th April. Diversions will be in place - northbound traffic will be diverted via Rathkeale and southbound via the N20. Use diversion routes to avoid delays. Local access will be maintained.

LIMERICK: A stop/go system will be in place on the N69 at Kilcornan until Fri 31st July between 7am and 7pm each day. Expect delays.

TIPPERARY: Works will be in place on the N24 in Clonmel, between the Moangarriff and Cahir Rd roundabouts, until approx. the end of March.

CONNACHT

GALWAY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on the inbound carriageway of Bothar na dTreabh from Briarhill to the Ballybane Rd jct until Tuesday (25th), from 10am until 8pm on each day.

GALWAY: Works will take place on the N59 at Letterfrack until Mon 4th May. Expect delays.

GALWAY: Works are in place on the N67 between Kinvara and Ballinderreen until the end of the year.

GALWAY: Works are taking place on the N59 between Clifden and Maam Cross, near the Letterfrack turn-off at Recess, until early 2021.  

LEITRIM: A reduced speed limit of 60kmph remains in place on the N16 on a stretch between Manorhamilton and Glencar until December.

SLIGO: Works are taking place on the N15 just outside Cliffony on the Bundoran side until Fri 28th Feb.

SLIGO: The N15 and N4 in Sligo Town will be down to one lane southbound near Markievicz Rd during certain times each day to facilitate works until further notice.

SLIGO: Works are continuing in Sligo Town at the junction of the N4, N15 and N16 until further notice. As a result of the works, there has been a change to the road layout for northbound turning left onto the Rosses Point Rd (R219).

SLIGO: Works will be in place on the N4 between Collooney and Castlebaldwin until approx. June 2021. A reduced speed limit of 60kmph is currently in place on three stretches: at the Tobar Bhríde R/A outside Collooney, between Riverstown turn-off and Castlebaldwin, and just south of Castlebaldwin Village. There are also two stop/go systems on the route; they're just south of the Tobar Bhríde R/A and on the Riverstown side of Castlebaldwin.
