Yin and Yang

My artwork takes inspiration from the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang, two opposites that form a whole. Yin is feminine and the moon, and Yang is masculine and the sun. Though they are opposites, they bring harmony and balance. To me, the ability to create balance instead of quarrel is extraordinary. The characters have a circle of each other displayed on their forehead. This goes back to Yin and Yang - there is bad in the good, and good in the bad. This adds to the balance between the two.
