A Fading Memory

My self-portrait has become my persona, Delta. My art style was influenced by anime that I started watching when I was 10. What makes this piece extraordinary is how delta is fading like an old memory fragmenting. I wanted to portray the sadness of memories that fade in time, where she is positioned centrally in the composition with her hand outstretched to the viewer of the drawing. The tears show a sense of sorrow & desperation. Like in a dream, the background is blurry but her face is clear.
