The River Salmon

My name is Jess and I am 9 years old. I live very near the River Blackwater in Fermoy and in the summer I go fishing with my dad. I chose to draw a salmon because I think fish are extraordinary. They can breathe underwater! Salmon are born in the river and they go out to sea to grow. They then have to make it all the way back to where they were born to have babies. They have to swim thousands of miles and it's not easy. Every September my dad takes me to see them jumping over the weir and this is extraordinary!
