“Melancholy”

My painting explores the sadness that people have come across during the last few years of lockdown in Covid-19 , When I had the inspiration to create this painting I already had some key factors in mind, I wanted this painting to show sadness in a form they didn’t come across directly but in an “extraordinary” way. So that’s why I decided to do the sad clown, because I felt like it isn’t a thing you see in your everyday life. And I did not come up with this painting idea myself, I had actually got an idea from a photograph I had seen online and used the for inspiration and reference.
