1 of 1 Freewheeling charm ensues
Freewheeling charm ensues

Not a companion album from the Cost Plus Sofas people but just as rump-focused as anything they might offer, DFF brings together singer Dave Flynn, cellist Vyvienne Long, guitarist Niwel Tsumbu and pals for a record described as "African-tinged chamber pop".

Freewheeling charm ensues with Flynn and Long proving good vocal foils for each other and Tsumbu's spindly guitar runs sublime without ever being flashy. The big grins on the inside cover must have been a big part of the studio experience too.

At 60 minutes this record is too long, but DFF are still too much of a good thing to just be a one-off.
