A race against time thriller with flashes of comedy, Three Days to Kill stars Kevin Costner as Ethan Renner, a CIA operative who is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Told he has only months to live, Renner returns to Paris in a bid to heal relationships with his estranged wife Christine (Connie Nielsen) and daughter Zoey (Hailee Steinfeld).

But while Renner has the best of intentions, he is tested by Vivi Delay (Amber Heard), a devious, alluring woman who offers him a potentially life-saving drug - in exchange for his expertise.

The latest from Charlie's Angels and This Means War director McG, Three Days to Kill keeps you guessing while also drawing you into the family dynamics. But while there is plenty of violence to keep the action fan entertained, the fainthearted may find it a little gruesome at times.

Still, not a bad choice if you have some time to kill.
