Former House star Olivia Wilde has been cast in psychological thriller Meadowland.
According to Deadline the Rush and Drinking Buddies actress will also produce the film, which is being directed by first-timer Reed Morano.
Wilde - who studied her craft at Dublin’s Gaiety School of Acting - will star as a mother who has lost her son. She begins on the path to acceptance when she turns her attention to a neglected young boy.
Morano has served as cinematographer on films including Kill Your Darlings, Frozen River and The Skeleton Twins and makes his directing debut with Meadowland when it begins shooting in New York in July.
