Kanye West kept playing his new songs on the set of Anchorman 2 and had to be asked to stop so they could carry on with filming.

Kanye was on set filming a cameo in the comedy and Will Ferrell told Jonathan Ross, "It was very surreal to have Kanye – who's such a big fan of comedy – in our movie hanging out for two days. He was playing the new tracks a lot – over and over.

"Even when you're trying to film, he's playing the tracks. They're loud too. We got a scared 18-year-old intern to ask him to turn them down."

It would seem Kanye enjoyed his time on the set as even when he was finished with his own cameo, he opted to hang around. Ferrell added, "He hung out, even after we said, 'You're done'. He was like, 'No, no' and stayed in the background hanging out and fighting with people."

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set for release on December 18, 2013.
