Love/Hate and Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen is to attend a special preview screening of his new film Mister John at the Irish Film Institute on September 17, and will take part in a Q&A with its director, Joe Lawlor, afterwards.
Described as "a story involving snakebites, Asian superstition and dream sequences", Mister John follows Gerry Devine (Gillen), who travels to Singapore following his bar owner brother's death in a drowning accident in the country.
Running away from his own problems, Gerry starts to live his late brother's life, a man who may have been involved in nefarious activities before his death.
The preview screening and Q&A will take place on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30pm, with tickets and more details available from the IFI at (01) 679 3477 or www.ifi.ie.
Co-written and co-directed by Lawlor and Christine Molloy, Mister John opens at the IFI on Friday, September 27.
