The Hangover Part III star Melissa McCarthy has said that she hopes there will be a sequel to The Heat.
The 42-year-old actress played a police detective in the crime comedy, while Sandra Bullock stars as an uptight FBI agent.
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the film's New York premiere, McCarthy revealed that she would love to team-up with Bullock for a follow-up movie.
She said: "I would do anything with that group of people again - in a heartbeat."
The Heat director, Paul Feig, also suggested that the movie could be turned into a comedy franchise, saying: "It screams [a sequel] to me.
"I would love to get these two ladies together again. I want to see them out fighting crime and making people laugh in other situations, so fingers crossed."
The Heat hits cinemas on July 31.
