The Executive Producer and creator of Homeland has hinted that viewers may see less of lead character, Nicholas Brody, in the upcoming third series of the hugely successful show.
Brody, played by Damian Lewis, was forced to go on the run at the end of the second season of the Showtime drama and the next season will see him branded “the world’s most wanted terrorist.”
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Alex Gansa said that Brody will feature “perhaps not as much” as in the previous seasons.
Gansa said "He is the most wanted man on the planet. By definition, he's going to be hiding somewhere. And if he's hiding, that limits what he can do."
Speaking about the show’s decision not to kill off Brody he said "not killing him off was the right move."
He added "There was still more story to tell between Carrie [Claire Danes] and Brody."
Homeland will be back on TV in the US on September 29th and will be shown on RTÉ Two in Ireland.
