Courteney Cox to make film directing debut

Cougar Town star Courteney Cox is to make her feature directorial debut with Hello I Must be Going.

Deadline.com, which broke the story, says Seann William Scott and Kate Walsh will star in the film.

It tells the story of Ted Morgan (Scott), who returns to his hometown to address some outstanding issues before taking his own life.

Walsh will play his sister-in-law, Kathleen Morgan, in the film.

Hello I Must be Going has been written by David Flebotte, whose credits include Boardwalk Empire and Desperate Housewives.

Cox has previously directed episodes of Cougar Town.
