Up in the Air actress Amy Morton has become the latest addition to the cast of Homeland.
TVLine reports that she will play the character Erin Kimball, an attorney appointed by the CIA to defend Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes).
Morton is renowned for her Tony-nominated theatre work, but recently appeared on Kelsey Grammer's political drama Boss and in an episode of hit cop show Blue Bloods.
A number of guest castings for the third season of Homeland were recently announced, with Boardwalk Empire's David Aaron Baker, Law and Order: SVU's Joanna Merlin and Prison Break's Tracy Letts all landing roles.
Season three of Homeland will focus on the global manhunt for Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), who has been labelled the "world's most wanted terrorist".
Homeland will return to Showtime in the US on September 29, and shortly after on RTÉ Two.
