The CW has confirmed that its slick spy drama Nikita will end after its upcoming fourth season.
The US TV network unveiled its brand new 2013-2014 schedule and used the announcement to officially reveal that Nikita has just one season left.
The show's cast includes Maggie Q as the eponymous rogue spy, as well as Lyndsy Fonseca, Shane West and Melinda Clarke.
Nikita - shown on Sky Living on this side of the Atlantic - was showing signs of terminal decline after it emerged that it had been renewed for a shortened, six-episode season.
Meanwhile, the show's executive producer Craig Silverstein recently tweeted that the series will have "an incredible finish".
The CW explained that Nikita will "wrap up her mission with a six-episode run", though the network has not yet revealed when the final season will air.
