Home and Away star Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax on the popular soap, has been cast in the supporting role of Stephanos in the upcoming action movie Hercules: The Thracian Wars.
The 31-year-old actor, who toured Ireland earlier this year, will join Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewell when filming gets underway in Budapest, Hungary.
Speaking about the project, Peacocke said: “This is an incredible opportunity for me to experience film on a massive scale, work with a world-class director, actors and two of the biggest studios in the world. I’m grateful 7 is allowing me time out to get a taste of that world.”
Hercules, currently in pre-production, is directed by Prison Break producer Brett Ratner and is set for release in July 2014, according to Channel 7, the Australian network which makes H&A.
Peacocke will film in the coming months before returning to his role as Brax in Home and Away in September.
