Sam Mendes already has a story for Bond 24.
The Skyfall filmmaker hasn't yet confirmed he will be returning to direct the next 007 outing, but departing screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade revealed that Mendes has already formulated a new plot.
In a recent statement, Robert said: ''We're very happy to have done five Bond movies. I think we've gotten it to a good place. I know that John Logan and Sam Mendes have come up with a plot for another one, which takes the pressure off because these films take up a lot of time.''
The writing duo further revealed that they initially planned to step down after their fourth Bond movie.
Neal added: ''We were going to stop with Quantum of Solace, but it's good to go out on a high with Skyfall.''
The pair also admitted they had been ''tempted'' to kill off Bond.
Asked what they are not allowed to do as Bond writers, Neal said: ''Time Travel''.
Robert added: ''And killing him off, although we have been tempted''.
