Having joined Ulster in the summer of 2020, Madigan marked his arrival by kicking the final-second penalty to clinch victory in the Pro14 semi-final against Edinburgh.
Played 20 times during his first season in Belfast, but made just nine appearances, and one start, in 2021/22.
The former Leinster, Bordeaux-Begles and Bristol out-half has 30 international caps, the last of which he won in 2016.
