Since joining Connacht's academy through the IRFU Exiles system in 2011 he’s become a pillar of their side, and is one of just five players to have played 200 games or more for the western province.
The 2021/22 season was one of his most productive, playing in 22 of his side's 24 games.
Marmion made his Ireland debut on the summer tour of Argentina in 2014, with the pick of his 28 caps coming when he started in the 2018 victory against the All Blacks.
