Name: Megan Fletcher
Like her brother Ben, Megan Fletcher has switched allegiances from Great Britain to Ireland and is ready to compete at her first Olympic Games.
Ranked 20th in the world, Fletcher will be only the second woman to represent Ireland in judo at Olympic level, following Lisa Kearney in 2012.
Fletcher won bronze at the European Open in Belgrade in 2017 in her first competitive outing under the Ireland flag and also fought for a bronze medal at the World Championships in Hungary last month.
A geography teacher by trade, Fletcher has taken a career break to focus on qualifying for the Olympics, a decision which has clearly paid off.
