Wexford Youths Women were held to a draw by fellow title-chasers Raheny United in a thrilling clash at Ferrycarrig Park in the Bus Éireann Women’s National League.

In a tense battle it took two terrific strikes to find the net with Rianna Jarrett opening the scoring for Wexford and Noelle Murray levelling in the second half.

Wexford opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Jarrett fired home when great pressure from Ciara Rossiter won the ball outside box and she up Jarrett to net from outside the box.

Mary Rose Kelly made some important saves for Wexford as Raheny battled to level but she could do nothing to keep out a long range strike from Noelle Murray that levelled matters in the 67th minute.

With three minutes to go Rossiter made a brilliant run and found Rachel Hutchinson with a cross but her close-range effort went just wide.

Meanwhile, Peamount United moved top of the league on goal difference after a 4-1 home victory over Cork Women’s FC at Greenogue.

Solene Barbance bagged two first-half goals to put the Peas in control. Her first was a header from a Grace Murray corner and the second was a fine finish after good work down the left flank.

Lauren Murphy got Cork back in the game when she found the net from the penalty spot but less than a minute later Peamount were awarded a penalty themselves and Stephanie Roche fired home to make it 3-1.

Aine O'Gorman made it 4-1 to wrap up the scoring with a spectacular strike from 30 yards out.
