Shamrock Rovers have confirmed that a member of their backroom staff tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of their Airtricity League Premier Division game against Derry City.
The Hoops were able to play Friday night's Airtricity League Premier Division game against Derry City after consultations with public health officials and the FAI.
Stephen Bradley's men fought back from being 2-0 down to win a cracking match 4-2 at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
In a statement released on Saturday morning, the club said: "Shamrock Rovers can confirm that a member of our backroom staff has tested positive for Covid-19 in recent days.
"No members of our first-team squad and backroom staff who travelled to Derry have been deemed close contacts by Public Health and all involved in Friday night’s game have tested negative.
"The staff member has reported no symptoms and we wish him well with his recovery."
