Waterford v Dundalk, RSC, 2pm [Live on WatchLOI]
Dundalk officially relinquished their league title after Bohs' 2-0 loss to Finn Harps on Saturday handed the crown to Shamrock Rovers, but Filippo Giovagnoli's men still have lots to play for this season.
While third place in the league is almost wrapped up, they're still in the FAI Cup, and of course there's the small matter of a Europa League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates on Thursday night.
Waterford are housed comfortably in mid-table so there's not a huge amount riding on this one. Still, the Blues will be keen to pick up a win at the RSC as their campaign heads for its conclusion. This is their last home game of the season.
Waterford: Robbie McCourt is suspended; Sam Bone is still sidelined with a hamstring issue.
Dundalk: Dane Massey is out with a hip problem, while Nathan Oduwa is a doubt with a hamstring injury. Patrick McEleney is also a doubt after he took a knock against Molde last Thursday. Dan Kelly could feature.
What they said
Fran Rockett [Waterford manager]: "We all know what Dundalk are capable of. They have proved it by getting to the group stages of the Europa League, but we know what we are capable of as well. We went up there in August and went 2-0 up. Lapses in concentration cost us that day and I know the lads will be wanting to put that right this weekend.
"We’re still in the hunt to finish as high as we can and we have to keep pushing the teams around third and fourth. This group of players have given their all this season. I can’t ask for more from them."
Filippo Giovignali [Dundalk manager]: "We have to learn fast and be prepared for the next game, which is Waterford. I'm sorry, but I’m not even thinking about Arsenal. My priority is Waterford, and qualifying for the Europa League next year. So we have to be strong, keep working hard and try to improve."
