Peter Collins will be joined in studio by former Ireland international Karen Duggan and current Ireland defender Chloe Mustaki.
Stephanie Roche will be alongside Darragh Maloney on commentary.
The game in Essen kicks off at 1pm with coverage beginning on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player at 12.30pm.
Vera Pauw's side currently sit on top of Group I, one point ahead of Germany, who have a game in hand.
The Germans have scored 31 goals and conceded none from four games so far.
Ireland's next game after Saturday is away to Ukraine on 23 October.
The Ireland v Germany game comes in a big week of soccer on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player beginning tonight with live coverage of AC Milan's trip to Tallaght Stadium to take on Shamrock Rovers in a Europa League 2nd Round qualifier (6.30pm).
The action continues tomorrow night on Friday Night Soccer (7.30pm) with the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division meeting of Sligo Rovers and Bohemians from the Showgrounds.
The programme will also feature the draw for the quarter-finals of the Extra.ie FAI Cup.
Next Tuesday sees the return of live Champions League to RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player with the Play-off round, 1st leg game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and FC Salzburg (7.30pm).
