Sligo Rovers' Airtricity League Premier Division clash with Waterford will now be played on the eve of St Patrick's Day.

The Bit O'Red were supposed to host Waterford on Saturday 29 February but with Storm Jorge bringing gusts of up to 145km/h, and a significant risk of coastal and inland flooding, the decision was made to postpone the game.

It will now be played at the Showgrounds on Monday 16 March (7.45pm kick-off).

Two other games have already been switched to the same night.

The Finn Harps v Shelbourne fixture, which was called off on 24 February due to a heavy snow in Ballybofey, is also down for 16 March (kick-off 8pm), as is St Patrick's Athletic v Derry City - cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.

That kicks off at Richmond Park at 7.45pm.

Meanwhile Drogheda United's EA Sports Cup first-round clash with UCD - originally scheduled for Monday 9 March - will be played on Monday 23 March (7.45pm kick-off).
