Holders Dundalk have been paired with Derry City in the standout tie of the second round of the Extra.ie FAI Cup.

Vinny Perth's side will face a major test in their bid to hold onto the trophy against the in-form Candystripes.

Non-league sides Crumlin United and Lucan United have been drawn together, guaranteeing a presence from the Leinster Senior League in the quarter-finals.

Inishowen side Glengad United have been handed a home draw with Waterford FC meaning a mammoth journey awaits the Premier Division outfit.

Four more top-flight sides have been drawn against First Division opponents. Shamrock Rovers will host Drogheda United – the side that knocked them out of last year’s competition.

Sligo Rovers will meet Limerick, Cork City travel to take on Galway United, while Bohemians will meet the winner of the midlands derby between Longford Town and Athlone Town.

Match will take place on weekend 23-25 August.
