Cork City will play the winner of a tie involving Scottish side Rangers if the Rebels progress to the second round of the Europa League  

City will take on either FC Progrès Niederkorn or Cardiff MET in the first round.

It’s expected that Progres will advance past the university side in the preliminary tie and they will be in Turner’s Cross for the tie on Thursday 11 July and the second leg in Luxembourg the following week.

Steven Gerrard’s side are awaiting the winners of Prishtina of Kosovo or St Joseph's from Gibraltar in the first round.

Progrès famously knocked out Rangers two seasons ago. 

The second round games will be played on 25 July and 1 August. The winner of the tie involving Rangers will be at home first. 

St Patrick's Athletic will play Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) or Liepāja (Latvia) if they progress to the second round.

The Saints have to overcome IFK Norrköping to get to that stage.

Shamrock Rovers will play Žalgiris (Lithuania) /Apollon Limassol (Cyprus) if they advance. 

Norweigan outfit SK Brann stand in the way of Stephen Bradley’s men.

There is also the chance of a glamour tie for Northern Irish Premiership outfit Crusaders. 

They have been drawn to play Premier League side Wolves if they get past B36 Torshavn of the Faroe Islands.
