Fifty days out from the start of the Women's World Cup, FIFA has confirmed that the opening encounter between France and South Korea at the Parc des Princes is sold out.

The host nation begin their campaign at the Paris venue on 7 June to kick-off the month-long tournament with a 48,000-capacity crowd set to cheer on the home side who will be hoping to emulate their male counterparts who won the 2018 event.

The two semi-finals and the final, which takes place at Stade de Lyon on 7 July, are also sold out ahead of the summer showpiece.

In fact, over 720,000 tickets have already been purchased for the World Cup as 24 teams compete for the blue riband event in women's football.

France and South Korea are joined in Group A by Norway, who qualified from Ireland's group in the qualifying stages, as well as Nigeria.

England and Scotland have been drawn alongside each other in Group D with Argentina and Japan, while the Netherlands, who also went through from Ireland's group, are placed in Group E with Canada, Cameroon and New Zealand.
